Is Pruning A Good Idea In Fall Season

Perhaps more people are fond of growing different types of plants at their area. You cannot blame them though with their love of gardening. In fact, it also provides them some benefits as well as to the environment. It makes their mood positive and give them some Vitamin D because of sun exposure and it also make the environment clean and beautiful. Having a garden can certainly be beneficial to you plus you also have the authority to change it into something you prefer. But then again, some individuals sometimes have misconceptions about fall pruning Thomaston, leaving their garden in great danger.

For those nature-lovers, they definitely have an idea about what pruning does to a certain plant. It is basically the method of keeping your trees and other plants healthy and good. Aside from that, you also need it so you could protect your garden and your property from potential hazards such as pests. It involves removing rotten or dead parts and also trimming it to help a plant develop in a healthy way.

Through this method, what you planted would really grow well since those dead portions were removed. Pests will also not likely damage your plant as you do the maintenance. Aside from that, it also helps in avoiding some physical hazards that may harm other individuals around your area. Broken branches may have a tendency to harm others who are walking by if that will not be removed.

As you see, it does contains several benefits. And when the autumn season finally comes, your hands might be itching to get some tools and start some pruning. But then, you must know this one thing. Fall is never the best season for you to do that activity.

Of course the benefits listed above are the reasons why pruning is important. So why exclude the fall season with that method? Yes, it does encourage a plant to have some new growth, however, pruning can also be a wound for them. And in his season, those wounds will not heal in a fast process.

You must know that the next season after fall is winter. And during cold seasons, the energy of plants are all concentrated to their roots. Meaning, the wounds might not get some attention and therefore, it leaves the plants into a fragile state.

So are you just going to leave your trees and other flowers at your garden like that in fall? F course not. The things you may do are raking and also mulching. It can help your plants in gaining more nutrients which can be beneficial for them when cold season come.

Deep watering can also help. It might be tough for them to get water from winter from the cold grounds. It could be helpful for the trees. Aside from that, you may resume pruning on the late winter or perhaps during early spring.

So is it a good idea? No. You better keep your pruning tools off from your garden. Otherwise, you face some negative outcomes.
