American Flags Still Need Proper Lightings

By Tom Steed

During the Middle Ages, flags were used for a variety of purposes including identification of members of nobility, guilds, cities, religious worship, and for use during battles. In battle, flags were used by military companies for identification on the field and relaying of strategic instructions.

And what about Flagpole Lightings? Light is one of the life’s necessities. We would not be on this planet if there was no light. When there is no natural light, we need artificial. And that’s how it is from the beginning. Some 400,000 BC humanity finds the fire, most likely by accident when a lightning hit a tree or a bush. Human development was born from that accident.

First portable light was a torch - a branch or a bundle of sticks tied together with one end doused in a flammable liquid and lit. Around 70,000 first primitive oil lamps appeared. Now imagine, all this, cannot live without further evolution. Today, flagpole and lighting are correlated to each other. For better illumination of our flags, we need correct lightings, whether it is solar or regular.

A beautiful sunny day allows everyone to enjoy the beauty of a flag, but now people can enjoy the majesty of a flag on a rainy or cloudy day or even in the evenings. High-quality flagpole lighting solved this problem. The Flag company inc rated outdoor flagpole lighting options for both commercial and residential customers in a variety of styles and voltages, including energy conserving solar options.

Most people would agree that the preferred approach for flying the U.S. Flag at night would be to have a spotlight directly and brightly lighting it. However, if one does not have the resources to undertake such lighting (and cannot be assured of being able to lower the flag at sunset), should that person not fly the flag?

There is a barrage of cheap and inferior flagpoles and their lightings being imported and sold, that do not comply with the flag statute. This is bad for a number of reasons. Imported stuff is cheaply made and more importantly, the designs, materials, colors, and methods do not compare well with the better quality, longer-lasting, and correctly designed flagpole lightings made by American manufacturers. The Flag Company Inc specialized in flags and flagpole lightings offered a special edition of flagpole lightings to provide innovative solutions for individual projects.
