For Synthetic Turf Florida Is The Way To Go

By Carolyn Collins

Sporting arenas are adopting artificial turf because of various reasons. Artificial grass as the name suggests is made in companies synthetically and installed at the site of use. Its introduction saw a lot of use in sporting arenas only initially. That changed over time as the product started to be used in residential and commercial applications. When there is need for synthetic turf Florida offers a good place to check out.

The adoption of artificial grass over natural turf in various applications is motivated by the many benefits that user receive from the former option. For starters, artificial grass is preferred because it is resilient and more durable. The high level of resilience allows sports arenas to be used heavily without needing resting time. Arenas that have natural grass cannot handle being played on continuously for 3-4 days in a week.

Natural grass naturally needs resting time to regrow and form a lush before the field can be used for sports again. This is a shortcoming that became even more problematic as the need for durable fields that can accommodate multiple activities and teams rose. Thus, artificial grass became the only viable option, and many sports arenas have adopted it at a very high rate.

Lower maintenance cost is another major source of benefit associated with these products. Maintenance activities that need to be done on these products are brushing the surface, topping infill levels, and clearing debris. Conversely, maintenance in natural grass involves watering, applying fertilizers, applying pesticides, mowing, and aerating among others. These activities require a lot of labor and cost expensively.

People usually pay to watch the games held in the various sports arenas. The amount people pay serves as revenue used for the various activities around the arena. The remainder usually goes to the owners of the arenas as profit. As such, with artificial grass, the arenas are able to be used more frequently. This implies that more revenue is generated from the use of the arena. The same is not true with arenas that have natural grass.

Since there is less maintenance involved, the cost of maintaining the product in good condition is also low. In addition to lower maintenance costs, the associated environment pollution is also low. The environment is preserved because of the lack of pesticides and fertilizers used while water conservation accrues from lack of irrigation needed. Many communities, parks, and schools have adopted the products because of water savings they achieve because of lack of irrigation.

Some research findings have pointed out certain safety concerns associated with these products, especially those of poor quality. However, when high quality products are used, there are no safety concerned associated with the products. The safety of high quality products has been proven under different weather conditions.

FIFA has conducted extensive tests on these products, with the conclusion that they are as safe as grass. Major sports arenas have FIFA Quality Turf installed on them to promote quality. To maintain good performance, regular checks should be conducted on the product to ensure that it is in proper condition.
